🌹 As the Flower Blooms Episode 2: The Secret in the Rose Garden
Written by Petal Perfection Flower Company
The Petal Perfection floral design studio was unusually quiet that morning.
Almost too quiet.
Peony was settling in nicely, gently opening her petals as the morning light streamed through the studio windows.
Daisy, meanwhile, was admiring herself in a bucket.
Again.
“Honestly,” Daisy sighed, turning slightly toward the light, “I don't know how I manage to look this good before noon.”
Peony rolled her eyes.
“Daisy, you're looking at your reflection in a bucket.”
“I know,” Daisy replied. “And I'm impressed.”
But while the other flowers were going about their morning routine, one flower was acting very strangely.
Rose.
She had been unusually quiet all morning.
She kept glancing toward the studio door.
Then toward the hydrangeas.
Then back toward the door.
The hydrangeas noticed.
Of course they noticed.
Hydrangeas notice everything.
One of them leaned slightly toward Rose.
“Okay,” whispered Hydrangea.
Another hydrangea whispered back, “Something is definitely going on.”
“I know.”
“What do you think it is?”
“I don't know.”
“Do you think she's seeing someone?”
The first hydrangea gasped.
“Rose?”
They all looked at her.
Rose immediately noticed.
“What?”
“Nothing,” said the hydrangeas together.
Rose narrowed her petals.
“You're whispering.”
“We weren't whispering.”
“You absolutely were.”
“We were discussing water.”
Rose looked suspicious.
“Water doesn't usually make you all stare at me.”
Silence.
The hydrangeas exchanged glances.
Finally, one of them couldn't take it anymore.
“Rose…”
“Yes?”
“What are you hiding?”
Rose froze.
For a moment, nobody moved.
Then Rose quietly said…
“I'm not hiding anything.”
The hydrangeas stared at her.
Rose stared back.
Peony slowly turned toward them.
Even Daisy stopped admiring herself.
Something was definitely happening.
Rose looked toward the studio door again.
And then—
CLICK.
Everyone heard it.
The door handle moved.
Rose's petals stiffened.
“No…”
The studio door slowly swung open.
Someone walked in.
Rose knew exactly who it was.
Her petals began to tremble.
The hydrangeas gasped.
Peony whispered, “Rose…?”
Daisy leaned forward.
“Who is that?”
Rose stared toward the doorway.
She hadn't expected to see them until tomorrow.
But they were here.
Today.
And judging by the look on Rose's face…
this wasn't just a surprise visit.
It was a secret.
And the hydrangeas were determined to find out exactly what was going on.
Who walked through the door?

🌸 Flower Care Tip
Let your flowers develop at their own pace.
Give them clean water, proper flower food, the right environment, and—most importantly—time.
Sometimes the most beautiful part of a flower's life is the part you haven't seen yet.
Just like people, flowers have their own pace. Give them the care they need, and you may be surprised by how beautifully they unfold.
